Ole Miss Rebels Tennis to Face NC State at ITA National Indoor Championships

Men’s Tennis Selects Fourth Seed in Raleigh Region

With the sixth selection in the ITA National Indoor draft, the Rebels chose the fourth seed within the Raleigh, North Carolina, region. The Rebels will face the Wolfpack in the first round of the 46th ITA National Indoor Team Championships.

To commence ITA Kickoff Weekend, Ole Miss will face one seeded North Carolina State on Friday, Jan. 22. The sixth ranked Wolfpack finished 2020 with an 11-4 overall record (1-1 ACC). The winner of the first-round matchup will face the victor of No. 2 seed Stanford and No. 3 seed Tennessee. All four teams in the Raleigh region are top-15 in the ITA rankings, whereas no other region consists of more than two top-15 schools. No. 1 overall seed USC is the defending tournament champion.

The 2021 ITA National Indoor Team Championships will consist of 28 total teams. The top seven seeds will host individual pods of four team regions. The seven advancing seeds from each region will compete in the Division I Men’s National Team Indoor Championship (Feb. 12-14) at the University of Illinois (Atkins Tennis Center) in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois.
