Mississippi Department of Health Reports 854 New COVID-19 Cases and 20 Deaths

Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 854 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 20 deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 116,617, with 3,283 deaths. 

Currently there are 572 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 159 people hospitalized in intensive care for confirmed COVID-19.

There are 134 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff). There is one new long-term care death.
