MiSSiHiPPi Music & Arts Festival: Bud Light Tent pt. 1

The inaugural MissiHippi Music & Arts Festival will take place August 24, 2019 at Foxfire Ranch in Waterford, Miss. The first festival of its kind in North Mississippi, MissiHippi is much more than just a back-to-school bash—it will feature an incredibly diverse lineup of multiple genres, including rock, funk, hip-hop, EDM, indie, and soul.

The Bud Light Tent will have nonstop music starting 1 pm, including Lo Noom at 8 pm, and Kill Will at 9:45 pm.

9:45 pm – Kill Will (electronic, bass music) listen here

Kill Will is a passion project of Will MacLane that was created to share his visceral responses to bass music with others. Growing up in Atlanta, Georgia, Will was introduced to electronic music at a young age through the early EPs of Skrillex, to which he attributes his greatest inspiration. As a lifelong musician and a guitarist for the band AFTM, Will seeks to use his many eclectic influences to draw parallels from the energy of rock music to his electronic productions and performances. Currently, Will is based in Athens, Georgia, where he has opened up for Getter at the Georgia Theatre and hopes to continue delivering more engaging and high-energy shows.

8 pm – Lo Noom listen here

Hailing from Hattiesburg, Mississippi, Andrew Newman—the producer, writer, and multi-instrumentalist behind the moniker Lo Noom—has been quietly building his sound for over 10 years. Lo Noom has developed a sound that takes equal influence from the brittle, syncopated beats of Kanye West as it does from the lush, layered sound of chillwave pioneers Washed Out and Toro Y Moi. He doesn’t really like to stick to one genre—space-pop/r&b/psychedelic/folk/rock—a little bit of something for everyone.
