Mercedes Makes a U-Turn on University Avenue in Oxford and Rams Oxford Social Club Tattoo Shop

Oxford’s Favorite Tattooist is temporarily shut down after a Mercedes sedan rammed the building about 4 pm on Monday, February 22, 2021. The owner of Oxford Social Club took to social media to inform customers that the shop’s outside wall had been breached by a high-dollar German-engineered vehicle.

Photos by owner Brian Shives, show the vehicle smashed into the front façade, with bricks, glass, and other construction material scattered all around the shop.

In a security video, the Mercedes can be seen making an illegal U-turn on University Avenue and South 16th Street before hitting the accelerator and smashing into the building.

The shop will be shut down while investigators, insurance, landlords, and building inspectors sort out this mess.
