Local Burglar Out on Bail After Being Arrested by the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department
On Sunday, November 28, 2021, the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department arrested 24-year-old Christian Franks on the charge of Burglary of a Dwelling and Burglary of an Automobile.
Christian was given a $15,000 dollar bond by Lafayette County Justice Court and has bonded out of The Lafayette County Detention Center at this time.

Duties of the Sheriff involve two primary areas; law enforcement of the county and administrative. The law enforcement duties are to keep the peace in Lafayette County while administrative duties consist primarily of serving as the county jailor. Due to the growth of Lafayette County, the Sheriff Department now employs 26 deputies working four 12 hour shifts.
