Listen & Learn Town Hall with Jay Hughes

Jay Hughes will be at the Oxford Conference Center on Tuesday, December 5, presenting and accepting questions, comments, and suggestions about his position as District 12 Representative for Mississippi. The meeting will last from 6-8 pm.

“It’s an oppurtunity to find what is important to the people, instead of most politicians who hold town halls and tell [constituents] what they think,” said Hughes.

While Hughes keeps his ears open while traveling and checks his social media, he wanted to be able to focus on each area within his district. The town hall in Oxford will be the first of many he plans to hold.

“I hear so many things on the road and online that I don’t always know if those are the people in Oxford, so I wanted to do it in Oxford and make sure I’m hearing from the people that live in our community,” said Hughes. “So when the session starts in January I’m all ready to go.”
