Ole Miss Rebels vs. Oklahoma State Cowboys in the 2016 Sugar Bowl

Oxford, Miss. (TLV) – It’s official: Ole Miss is finally returning to the Sugar Bowl in New Orleans. The No. 16 ranked Rebels will face off against No. 13 Oklahoma State Cowboys on January 1, 2016.

Ole Miss has not played in the Sugar Bowl since 1970, when the No. 13 ranked Rebels defeated the No. 3 Arkansas Razorbacks in Tulane Stadium. The legendary Coach Johnny Vaught took the Rebels to a victory on that New Year’s Day with Sugar Bowl MVP Archie Manning leading the way. The Rebels spoiled Arkansas’s 1969 season and the Razorbacks return trip to the Sugar Bowl.

The 2016 Sugar Bowl will take place in the Superdome in New Orleans, Louisiana at 7:30 pm. Tickets can be purchased here.  The Local Voice Ligature
