GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi Presents The Drop Featuring Eden Brent with Special Guest Bob Dowell on December 18

SINGER/SONGWRITER DUO WILL DISCUSS AND PERFORM SONGS FROM THEIR LATEST ALBUM, AN EDEN BRENT CHRISTMAS WITH BOB DOWELL

GRAMMY Museum® Mississippi will present The Drop featuring Eden Brent with special guest Bob Dowell on December 18 at 8 pm in the museum’s Sanders Soundstage. Brent will join the Museum for an evening performance and discussion of her most recent album, An Eden Brent Christmas With Bob Dowell. A native of Greenville, Mississippi, Brent discovered music at the age of three and has not looked back since.

With the blessing of blues great and mentor, Boogaloo Ames, Brent has used her signature boogie-woogie piano and juke-joint blues vibes to carve out a distinct sound that captures the history, the pain and laughs of the Mississippi River and its rich soil.

“The Museum loves to help promote Mississippians’ music and culture,” said GRAMMY Museum Mississippi Executive Director Emily Havens. “The familiarity you sense when meeting Eden Brent comes straight from her Delta roots but her polarizing sound is meant for the world to hear. We are honored to have Brent help us kick off the holiday season.”

Brent has released five solo albums—Something Cool 2003; Mississippi Number One 2008; Ain’t Got No Troubles 2010; Jigsaw Heart 2014, and her brand new An Eden Brent Christmas with Bob Dowell, available on Yellow Dog Records. Brent’s accomplishments from her albums include three Blue Music Awards and numerous nominations and recognitions throughout the music industry.

GRAMMY Museum Mississippi is located at 800 W. Sunflower Rd., Cleveland, Miss., 38732. The pre-reception will start at 7 pm, followed immediately by the performance at 8 pm. Tickets are $40 for Members and $50 for non-members and includes a pre-reception with top-shelf open bar and hors d’ oeuvres. Purchase tickets today at grammymuseumms.org.
