“Graceland Too: The Building Elvis Never Left” to Play New York’s Latea Theater in May

The legend of Paul MacLeod lives on in this new play about one of the weirdest, wildest traditions in Mississippi history. If you find yourself in New York City this May, catch the play at the Latea Theater (107 Suffolk Street) these times: May 2, 2022 @ 6:15 pm, May 6, 2022 @ 9 pm, and May 8, 2022 @ 3:30 pm.

Inspired by a true story, Graceland Too: The Building Elvis Never Left is a bluesy, tragic tale about the galaxy’s number one Elvis fan, Paul MacLeod, and his antebellum home-turned-Elvis shrine in Holly Springs, Mississippi. As Paul gears up for Elvis Week with the help of former prisoner, Dwight Taylor, two very different worlds collide and Graceland Too will never be the same again.

Memphis native Nicole Hughes is a producer and early-career writer. She has produced “Humanity Needs Dreamers,” Diana Degarmo “Gemini” music videos, created & produced “Homes for the Brave,” and impact-produced the documentary Coded Bias on Netflix. Her passion is to tell the tales of Deep South folklore, starting with her play Graceland Too: The Building Elvis Never Left.
