Free Concert Series in Water Valley Starts Friday, May 31 with Young Valley and Block Party

The Water Valley Arts Council is hosting a free concert series in the Pocket Park on Main Street this summer in Water Valley, Mississippi. The first show will kick off alongside the 2nd Annual Main Street Block Party Friday, May 31, and features YOUNG VALLEY.

Last year’s Block Party was organized by Trusty Diner and featured many other local Water Valley businesses. There will be yard games, extended hours for many businesses, door prizes, sidewalk sales, and other fun events still being planned. This will be an event for the whole family, and all walks of Water Valley.

For the remainder of the summer there will be three more shows featuring great music, all free to the public. Each show will be on a Friday evening, beginning at 7 pm and ending before 10 pm. Local food trucks will be providing food and refreshments as well as directing hungry folks to restaurants nearby.

Bands and dates scheduled for the free concert series are:

  • 5/31 YOUNG VALLEY
  • 6/14 WILLIE FARMER
  • 7/12 JIMBO MATHUS
  • 7/26 AND THE ECHO
