Music Mockumentary Hosting Auditions and Sign Ups for Cast and Crew Needs

Connor King and Alex Thiel are shooting a mockumentary in Oxford from July 25–31. The film is titled FOOD COURT, after the name the of the indie pop band who will be the subject of the mockumentary.

The plot follows FOOD COURT as they record the follow up to their breakthrough debut album. The documentary crew captures the candid atmosphere and all the mishaps that accompany any creative process.

Auditions will be held July 6 at The Powerhouse and any needed callbacks will be on July 7 along with a full cast and crew meeting. A rundown of role and crew needs can be found below.

HOLLY (female, 18-35): Art school dropout and lead singer of Food Court.

“TWELVE?” (male or female, any age): An in-demand and enigmatic music producer from London.

SOPHIA (female, 25+ yrs old preferred) The previous tenant of the band’s studio loft. Not happy about it.

FRITZ (male, 20-50): Session guitarist, hired to play on the record. Actual musicians preferred. Acting skills/experience unimportant.

VARIOUS BEARDED DUDES for a big scene toward the end. Pretty much, just have a beard and you’re golden.

3-4 FILM CREW (not a real crew, just people that look like one). Can you wear a black t-shirt? This is the role for you.
