And The Echo: Live at Proud Larry’s Thursday, July 3 – with Edwina

AndTheEcho_photoNewtRayburnOxford, Miss. (TLV) – New Oxford band And The Echo will be playing live at Proud Larry’s on Thursday, July 3, 2014 at 10 pm, and in The Grove on the Ole Miss campus on Friday, July 4 at 5:30.

The band features Morgan Pennington on vocals and keyboards, Winn McElroy on keyboards, Tyler Rayburn on drums, and guitarist Capel Howorth.

And The Echo have a keyboard heavy sound, reminiscent of an 80s pop band, not unlike A Flock of Seagulls or Duran Duran, or perhaps even The Human League. But with Morgan Pennington’s vocals, this new local group also reminds me of the more modern sounds of bands like Metric or the Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

The band has launched a kickstarter for their upcoming 7” vinyl record on www.AndTheEcho.com.
