On March 17, 2024, the Oxford Police Department responded to a call reporting malicious mischief in the 100th block of Heritage Drive. A car’s tires were slashed, causing over a thousand dollars worth of damages. Upon review of camera footage at the location and surrounding area, and further investigation, Lisa Phillips, 22, of Dallas, Texas, and Ashton Arterberry, 20, of Dallas, Texas were each arrested and charged with Felony Malicious Mischief.
Phillips and Arterberry were taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and were each issued a $4,000 bond.

The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
