The Thirsty Devil, one of Tupelo‘s newest downtown spots, took home the award for Outstanding New Business at the 28th Mississippi Main Street Annual Awards. With their rock and roll aesthetic and killer menu, it’s no wonder they walked away with the award.
“This is the Mississippi Main Street Association’s most important event of the year,” said Allison Beasley, MMSA President. “It gives us an opportunity to meet with and celebrate the local directors and investors throughout the state that are doing the hard work of making our downtown districts more competitive, successful and sustainable.”
Elvis Presley Birthplace Trail took home the award for Outstanding Community Transformation and The Reed Family received a Main Street Hero honor.
Mississippi Main street Association is a program designed to reinvigorate the historic districts throughout the Magnolia State.
“We are thrilled to honor our economic development and preservation heroes in Mississippi’s downtowns,” Beasley said.
