On February 4, 2024, the Oxford Police Department took a walk in report from a victim who stated that their vehicle had been broken into around The Square.
After the investigation, a warrant for auto burglary was issued for LaDainian Thomas (18 of Potts Camp, Mississippi).
On February 23rd, Thomas turned himself in to the Lafayette County Detention Center. He was given a bond of $5,000 by the Municipal Court Judge.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
The Police Department has a community-oriented policing philosophy and provides around-the-clock patrols.
