On March 11, 2024, the Oxford Police Department took a walk-in report regarding credit card fraud. It was declared that a credit card was stolen and used for transactions at various locations. Upon investigation, Adrienne Brown, 54, of Oxford, Mississippi, was arrested for two counts of Credit Card Use to Defraud – Over $100.
Brown was taken before a Municipal Court judge for an initial bond hearing and was issued a $1,000 bond.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
The Police Department has a community-oriented policing philosophy and provides around-the-clock patrols.
