Oxford Man Arrested for Grooming an Under-age Child

On August 16, 2025, Investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report regarding inappropriate messages being sent to an under-age child.

During the investigation, investigators identified the suspect, Steven Naron 35-year-old of Oxford, Mississippi. A warrant was issued for the arrest of Naron for the charge of Grooming.

Naron was arrested without incident and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. On Monday, August 18, 2025, Naron appeared before a Justice Court Judge and issued a $50,000.00.
