New Jersey Credit Card Fraud Totaling $61,035 Leads to Arrest of Oxford, Mississippi Man

On October 2, 2025, a detective with the Oxford Police Department was contacted by Randolph, New Jersey Police Department about a credit card fraud case taking place where the suspect was within the city limits of Oxford.

Upon speaking with a detective from Randolph Police Department, an Oxford Police detective learned that between 05/28/25 and 06/13/25, 14 transactions were made on the victim’s account without consent. Transactions totaled $61,035.

After reviewing security camera footage, detectives were able to identify Lawrence Hakim II, 29, of Oxford, Mississippi as the suspect.

Hakim II was taken into custody and charged with 14 counts of Credit Card Fraud. Hakim II was taken before a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing.
