Today the Mississippi Department of Health (MSDH) is reporting 426 new cases of COVID-19 in Mississippi and 39 deaths. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 87,805, with 2,623 deaths.
Currently there are 525 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 185 people hospitalized in intensive care for confirmed COVID-19.
There are now 146 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).
