Man Charged with Sexual Battery On A Minor
On March 13 , 2026, an investigator with the Oxford Police Department was notified by Child Protective Services about potential sexual assault on a minor.
After the investigation, Auster Porter, 71, of Hattiesburg, MS was arrested and charged with Sexual Battery. Porter was taken into custody by Hattiesburg Police Department.
Porter was then transported to Lafayette County Detention Center and was taken to a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing.
