Abbeville, Mississippi Man Charged with DUI 4th

On September 7, 2025, Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to a noise complaint in the area of County Road 104.

During the response, a Deputy came into contact with a vehicle parked in the roadway, on the opposite side of the road. Deputies conducted a welfare check on the driver of the vehicle and found, Kenneth Fuller, 40 years old of Abbeville, Mississippi, slummed over the wheel.

Deputies began an investigation and it was determined that Fuller was operating the vehicle while impaired.

Fuller was arrested and charged with Felony DUI 4^th or Greater.

Fuller appeared before a Justice Court Judge on Monday, September 8, 2025, and was issued a $15,000.00 bond.

Fuller is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center due to a hold for Drug Court.

The Office of Sheriff is a four year term filled through an at-large election process. Duties of the Sheriff involve two primary areas; law enforcement of the county and administrative. The law enforcement duties are to keep the peace in Lafayette County while administrative duties consist primarily of serving as the county jailor. Due to the growth of Lafayette County, the Sheriff Department now employs 26 deputies working four 12 hour shifts.
