Steven Lawerence Dukes 45 years old of Oxford, Mississippi.
On August 30, 2025, Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office received a report of an assault on County Road 287.
After an investigation was conducted, the victim had sustained an injury to his face from a knife.
Steven Lawerence Dukes 45 years old of Oxford, Mississippi, was identified as the suspect. Investigators obtained an arrest warrant for Dukes on August 30, 2025.
Deputies located Steven Dukes on August 31, 2025, and he was subsequently arrested and charged with Aggravated Assault.
Dukes appeared before a Justice Court Judge on Tuesday, September 2, 2025 and was issued a $50,000.00 bond.
Dukes is currently being held at the Lafayette County Detention Center on a hold for the Mississippi Department of Corrections for a probation violation.
