On March 28, 2023, the Oxford Police Department was dispatched to the 2600 block of West Oxford Loop for a theft report about a former employee. After investigation, Jeffrey Gandy, 54, of Paris, Mississippi was arrested and charged with Embezzlement.
Gandy was taken before a Lafayette County Justice Court judge for his initial bond hearing and issued a $5,000 bond.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
The Police Department has a community-oriented policing philosophy and provides around-the-clock patrols.
