On September 10, 2021, the Oxford Police Department responded to Shady Acres for a disturbance between two males involving a gun. Officers found Orlando Ramsey, 43, of Oxford, Mississippi to be in possession of a firearm.
Ramsey was arrested and charged with Possession of a Firearm by a Felon. Ramsey was given a $5,000 bond by a Lafayette County Justice Court judge.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
