Oxford, Mississippi Police Arrest Abbeville Man and Sardis Man for Burglary of Storage Units

Officers with the Oxford Police Department were dispatched to Your Extra Closet on US 278 West, Monday October 22, 2018 for several storage unit burglaries.

The video footage at the storage units captured two men enter the front gate in a white Dodge Ram truck on Friday, October 19th in the early morning hours. Both men proceeded to enter several storage units and stole multiple items.

The two men were soon identified by investigators as being Joey Williams (26) from Abbeville and Michael Williams (44) from Sardis.  These two men are cousins.

Investigators with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office, Lafayette County Metro Narcotics, and Oxford Police Department arrested Joey Williams on October 23rd and Michael Williams on October 29th. Both men were taken before a Lafayette County Justice Court Judge and charged with 2 counts of burglary each. They were given a bond of $25,000 each.
