In your experience, what is the most common reason to have a drink? Sharing time with another.
What’s your favorite ingredient or flavor combination? Limes – anything with limes
What is your most essential bar tool? Wine opener.
Where’s your favorite spot to sip in Oxford / your hometown? On the water especially on the beach after a surf season.
What are your personal specialties? Good at creating and mixing new cocktails.
What do you wish people would order more often? Less often? I wish people would order more cocktails (especially new) and less beer or wine.
What drink do you recommend to someone who doesn’t know what to order? A Gold Rush or a Mojito
Most famous customer you’ve ever served: One of the Mannings
Who would you most like to have a drink with; where and what would you imbibe? Old friends on an island with a bottle of rum
If you’re in charge of the tunes in your bar, what music do you play? Motown, Doo-wop, or Jack Johnson
What’s the best live band you’ve seen in Mississippi? Whiskey Barrells (awesome cover band!!)
Favorite movie of all time: Yes, Man
Read any good books lately? Ishmael, Hect Trensfo, and SFA’s Southern Cocktails
Best joke to tell to a grumpy customer? What is a pirate’s favorite letter? …I will tell you answer in person ha!
What’s the funniest thing you’ve seen in your bar lately? Once I spilled four waters on a lady and was astonished when she told me she needed it because she “was overheating!”
Favorite after-shift drink? Lately, Bulleit Rye with a splash of water
Where would you be if you weren’t behind a bar? Probably at another job or studying—but I would love to be on an adventure especially if it involved the ocean.
