Located in Water Valley, the Crawdad Hole is the perfect spot to fill up after visiting the Yalobusha Brewery right down the road. The building is hard to miss as bright blue, green, and red lights shine throughout the windows and onto the patio where there are three glowing old-school rolling number gas pumps. Everything they serve comes out of either Mississippi or Louisiana. Crawfish season goes roughly from February to July, but the restaurant serves several other items and stays busy all year. “Come for the food, stay for the music”: is Scott Caradine’s motto. Caradine opened the now-legendary Proud Larry’s in 1993, and it’s been making history ever since. It’s the place to go to see the best live music in town, and the food is excellent and reasonably priced. The specialty pizzas are a town favorite, the salads are supremely good, and the pastas are full of fresh ingredients put together in tasty, innovative ways. Don’t miss thier “Two For Tuesdays.” (Back to top of page)

The dishes and décor in the Second Line give customers an authentic taste of what owner Kelly English calls “everyday New Orleans.” Open for lunch, dinner, and brunch, the kitchen serves up delicious seafood, po-boys, and other Cajun dishes without being cliché. The centerpiece of the establishment is the bar which offers a long list of specialty cocktails. The atmosphere is casual, but the service is nothing less than exceptional. If you like cheese fries, wait until you try the andouille, crawfish, and pimento cheese fries.
