Women’s Service Club of Oxford, Mississippi is excited to announce its participation in the 10th Annual Night for Nonprofits, hosted by the Lafayette Oxford Foundation for Tomorrow (LOFT). This prestigious event brings together local nonprofits to celebrate their contributions to the community and share innovative projects that align with LOFT’s pillars of support: education, health and human services, arts and culture, community improvement, and municipal support.
“We are honored to be selected for the 10th Annual Night for Nonprofits,” said Robin Buchannon. “This event provides an invaluable opportunity to showcase our project and its potential impact on supporting existing area programs whose primary objectives are to serve those with brain disease, brain injuries, or brain disorders, and that support those who care for others. Being part of this event shines a light on our mission and brings us one step closer to achieving our mission and goals. We’re excited to connect with the community and gain the support necessary to bring this vision to life.”
This year’s Night for Nonprofits will take place on Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 6 pm at the Powerhouse Community Arts Center. LOFT’s Executive Director, Dr. Jody Holland, shared, “The event will allow community members to engage with nonprofits and vote for their favorite initiatives. It’s a great way to support these deserving organizations and help raise funds for their projects.”
At the event, nonprofits will compete for several awards, including the $5,000 Crowd Favorite Award, which will be determined by live voting from event attendees. Alongside the Crowd Favorite Award, nonprofits will have a chance to win the $5,000 Chance to Shine Raffle and the $500 Board Member Engagement Award for organizations that bring at least 50% of their board members to the event.
“By participating in this event, we aim to foster community connections, raise funds for critical projects, and celebrate the incredible work being done right here in our own backyard,” added Dr. Holland.
