On November 21, 2021, at approximately 10:09 am, the Oxford Police Department took a report on Highway 334 about a male making threats towards the caller and law enforcement over text messages.
Upon investigation, officers arrested Quayellis Wilson, 30, of Taylor, Mississippi, on a charge of Cyberstalking.
A Lafayette County Justice Court judge issued Wilson a $5,000 bond.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
