On December 12, 2024, the Oxford Police Department responded to Lyles Drive to take a report of credit card fraud. Through the investigation, it was discovered that over $9,000 worth of charges had been charged through a credit card belonging to a vulnerable adult.
Hannah Russell, 29, of Oxford, Mississippi, was arrested and charged with Exploitation of a Vulnerable Adult.
Russell was taken before a Municipal Court judge to receive a bond. The Mississippi Department of Corrections placed a hold on Russell.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
