Candy Booker (black female, 45 years old of Oxford, Mississippi).
On June 16, 2025, Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff‘s Office responded to a report of a reckless driver on Highway 7 South. A responding Deputy located the described vehicle in the area of Highway 328 and Highway 7 South, where it was swerving into the opposing lane of traffic.
The Deputy conducted a traffic stop of the vehicle. During the traffic stop, Deputies determined that the driver, Candy Booker (black female, 45 years old of Oxford, Mississippi), showed signs of being under the influence of alcohol.
Booker was arrested and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center without incident.
It was later determined that Booker had two past DUI convictions in Mississippi within the last five years. Booker was charged with DUI 3rd and careless driving.
Booker was issued a $15,000 bond by the Lafayette County Justice Court.
