On August 14, 2021, the Oxford Police Department received a report stating that an individual had been shot at while at the Brittany Woods Apartment Complex.
A crime scene was located and evidence was gathered. Following the investigation, the suspect was identified as Lakesha Harwell, 27, of Oxford, Mississippi. The victim suffered no injuries.
An arrest warrant was issued for Harwell’s arrest, and she was taken into custody later that evening. Harwell is charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and received a $75,000 bond by a Lafayette County Justice Court judge.
