On March 12, 2021, investigators with the Oxford Police Department went undercover to purchase stolen artwork from Ashley Turner (40 of Pontotoc, Mississippi) after learning that she had multiple stolen items for sale on social media.
Turner was taken into custody with no incident after meeting with investigators for an Attempted Burglary warrant with the Oxford Police Department.
A hold was placed on Turner by the Mississippi Department of Corrections.
The investigation into the stolen artwork and other items sold by Turner are still under investigation, additional charges may come once the investigation is complete.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
