On May 4, 2024, the Oxford Police Department responded to a call on Christman Drive that there was an ongoing burglary that could be seen on the owner’s security camera.
Officers were able to locate the suspect, later identified as Jesus Antonio Torres Aguilar, 28, of Oxford, Mississippi on scene. Aguilar was arrested and charged with Burglary – Breaking and Entering Dwelling House or Inner Door of Dwelling.
Aguilar was taken before a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing and was issued a $10,000 bond.
