On August 7, 2024, at approximately 1:50 PM, the Oxford Police Department received a call stating that they were watching an unknown male on security camera inside their apartment in the 2400 block of Anderson Road.
Through the investigation, the suspect was identified as Darryl Andre King (28 of Oxford, Mississippi).
King was arrested later that day and transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center for burglary. He was given a bond by the Municipal Court Judge but a hold was placed by Drug Court.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
