On October 12th and 25th, 2023, the Oxford Police Department responded to a residence on Christman Drive for two separate reported burglaries. After investigation, Christopher Kirkwood, 40, of Oxford, Mississippi, was arrested and charged of two counts of Burglary – Breaking and Entering a Dwelling.
Kirkwood was taken before a Municipal Court judge for his initial bond hearing and issued a $200,000 bond.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
