On August 11, 2024, officers with the Oxford Police Department came in contact with Freddie Lee Holmes (42 of Oxford, Mississippi) in the 400 block of US 278 West (Highway 6 West).
Holmes was arrested on a warrant from another department.
Officers were then alerted by investigators that Holmes was a person of interest in a felony that occurred the day before. He was charged with Accessory After the Fact and will have a bond set by the Municipal Court Judge.
This is an on-going case and more arrests are expected.
