Oxford High School is delighted to announce the Class of 2026 Valedictorian, Jun Jang, and Salutatorian, Meredith Walker
Jun Jang is a two-time finalist at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair, the world’s largest pre-college research competition, where he won the National Security Agency 3rd Place Special Award in 2024. At Oxford High School, he serves as the president of the Speech and Debate team. Additionally, he is a member of the 30+ Club, National Honor Society, and has earned recognition as an AP Scholar with Distinction.
Jun’s top college choices include Stanford University and Harvard University, where he plans to pursue a degree in computer science with a focus in computational linguistics.
Jun Jang is the son of Byunghyun Jang and Jihye Seong.
Meredith Walker is a three-time Envirothon champion, with her team winning the competition the past three years. At Oxford High School, she serves as captain of the Envirothon team and is actively involved in theater, currently serving as student director of this year’s spring production, Twelve Angry Men. Additionally, she is the vice president of the Art Club, a member of the 30+ Club and National Honor Society, and has earned recognition as an AP Scholar with Distinction.
Meredith’s top college choices include Oregon State University and the University of Mississippi, where she plans to study soil science and theater design.
Meredith is the daughter of Glenn and Kristen Walker.
We look forward to celebrating the entire class of 2026 at Oxford High School’s commencement ceremony on Friday, May 22nd, at the Sandy and John Black Pavilion on the campus of the University of Mississippi.
