Kids distributing The Oxford Eagle when it was a weekly publication. It was a mad dash to get to The Square with your papers. Granddaddy Cofield would give us a dollar, and we’d buy 20 copies and sell them for a total of two dollars. Granddad told me several times that it was a business loan, and he chuckled.
