On February 8, 2023, the Oxford Police Department took a report about an incident that occurred at Pat Lamar Park during the day regarding a physical altercation. After investigation, Aaliyah Williams, 21, of Cordele, Georgia, was arrested and taken into custody.
Williams was charged with felony Malicious Mischief along with a misdemeanor. Two juveniles were also charged in this case.
Williams was taken before a Lafayette County Justice Court judge for her initial bond hearing and issued a $10,000 bond.
The Oxford Police Department is housed 715 Molly Barr Road. The department has more than 70 full-time officers and staff and provides a wide range of protection and enforcement services.
