Tracy Paul Goins 39 years old of Thaxton, Mississippi.
On May 20, 2025, Deputies with the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of County Road 251 for a report of a fight between two males. Upon arrival, one of the male subjects had fled the scene. The victim was assessed on scene by Emergency Services and transported to Baptist Memorial Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators were called to the scene and began collecting statements from the victim. After the investigation was complete, Tracy Paul Goins 39 years old of Thaxton, Mississippi, was arrested for Aggravated Assault on a Vulnerable Person over the age of 65 and felon in possession of a firearm.
Goins was arrested in Pontotoc County with the assistance of the Pontotoc County Sheriff’s Office. Goins was then transported to the Lafayette County Detention Center. Goins appeared before a Justice Court Judge and was given a $50,000.00 bond.
