The National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) is partnering with Communicare, Baptist Hospital, and the City of Oxford to provide the general public with information and local resources for improving mental health for individuals and families.
Free health screenings will be available, along with healthy snacks, drinks, and prizes. For the kids, the Oxford Park Commission is bringing games and activities (three-legged race, bean bag toss, etc.). And you won’t want to miss the OPD mounted patrol, the fire engine, and the SWAT truck. The annual NAMI WALK begins at 10 am. Or stop by just to enjoy the live music, chat with trained staff, or get your blood pressure checked. Enjoy the healthy snacks, ask questions, and pick up free literature from www.namims.org.
