The US Department of the Interior, through its Geological Survey, has launched a Cooperative Agreement aimed at partnering with organizations affiliated with the Gulf Coast Cooperative Ecosystem Studies Unit (CESU). This initiative encourages collaborative research and education focused on the diverse ecosystems of the Gulf Coast region.
The funding for this agreement ranges from $1 to $484,138, offering substantial financial support for projects that address ecological health, resource management, and sustainable practices in the Gulf Coast area. The Geological Survey seeks to enhance scientific understanding and promote stewardship of the region’s natural resources through innovative partnerships and community involvement.
Eligible applicants for this initiative include non-profit organizations, educational institutions, and other entities with expertise in ecosystem studies. Proposals will be evaluated based on their potential to advance knowledge related to coastal ecosystems, contribute to effective resource management strategies, and foster collaboration among various stakeholders.
