
Zequavian Lequan Knox (black male 25 years old) of Belden, Mississippi.
On May 16, 2025, a Lafayette County Sheriff Deputy, while on patrol, observed a Dodge Charger with an expired tag and driving carelessly traveling Highway 6 East west bound. The Deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop. However, the Dodge Charger did not pull over and took evasive maneuvers to evade law enforcement.
Deputies pursued the vehicle for a period of time until the Dodge Charger came to a stop in the 1700 Block of Highway 30 in Union County. The driver of the vehicle, Zequavian Lequan Knox (black male 25 years old) of Belden, Mississippi, was taken into custody and transported to Lafayette County Detention Center.
Knox was booked on Failure to Stop Motor Vehicle When Officer Signals (Felony) and Expired tag and was given a $10,000 bond set by the justice court. Knox is also being held on detainers prior to extradition for active warrants with Clayton County, Georgia, Lonoke County, Alaska, and Pontotoc County, Mississippi.
