The northern lights are shining over the small, remote town of Almost, Maine, where love has a way of appearing in the most unexpected places.
Theatre Oxford presents “Almost, Maine,” a romantic comedy by John Cariani, that will take the stage at The Powerhouse for three performances on Friday, Oct. 2, and Saturday, Oct. 3.

Performances are scheduled for 7:30 p.m. Friday, October 2; 2 p.m. Saturday, October 3; and 7:30 p.m. Saturday, October 3.
Tickets are $20 for non-members; $18 for seniors and students and $15 for Theatre Oxford and YAC members.
Set on a clear, moonless winter night, Almost, Maine follows the residents of the fictional town of Almost as they navigate the many surprises, complications and occasional heartbreaks of love.
Rather than telling one continuous story, Cariani’s 2004 play is made up of nine interconnected short plays, each exploring a different facet of romance, relationships, loss and hope. The characters find themselves falling in and out of love — sometimes literally — in situations that are by turns humorous, touching and unexpected.
Under Lee’s direction, the production promises audiences an evening of stories that explore the strange, funny and sometimes bittersweet ways people find — and lose — love.
