Oxford High School is delighted to announce that two of its seniors, Jun Jang and Renad Radwan, have been named 2025-2026 STAR Students by the Mississippi Business Alliance Student-Teacher Achievement Recognition (STAR) program.
This prestigious recognition is awarded to seniors who have the highest ACT score at their high school and meet additional academic requirements, including maintaining an overall average of 93 or higher in English, mathematics, science, social studies, and foreign language courses.
As part of the STAR Student program, each recipient selected a STAR Teacher—an educator who, in their opinion, has made the greatest contribution to their academic achievement.
- Jun Jang selected Dr. Catherine Putnam, a math teacher at Oxford High School.
- Renad Radwan selected Dr. Thomas Ardrey, choir director at Oxford High School.
Oxford High School’s STAR Students will join honorees from across Mississippi at the STAR Education Celebration in Jackson, Mississippi, on April 9.
Please join us in congratulating Jun and Renad on this outstanding achievement!
