Nearly 30 Years of Local Trust, Now Backed by Statewide Strength
On August 4, 2025, Oxford Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine formally became Mississippi Sports Medicine and Orthopaedic Center (MSMOC). While this affiliation unites the Oxford team with 32 specialty and fellowship-trained physicians across 15 clinics statewide, patients can rest assured that nothing will change about the personal, expert care they’ve relied on in North Mississippi for nearly three decades.
Part of a Bigger, Stronger Network
Since 1997, Oxford Orthopaedics & Sports Medicine has set the standard for orthopedic and sports medicine care in North Mississippi. By joining MSMOC, the group now stands alongside its new colleagues in Jackson and Tupelo to form Mississippi’s most comprehensive orthopedic system—and one of the largest regional networks in the Southeast.
This collaboration brings shared research initiatives and expanded resources, all while preserving the group’s commitment to the Oxford community.
“We’ve earned our reputation through personalized care and deep community ties,” said Cooper Terry, MD, founder of Oxford Ortho. “Becoming part of Mississippi Sports Medicine amplifies our ability to deliver that same hometown experience, now supported by the state’s top fellowship trained- team.”
The Same Personal Touch, Enhanced Resources
Patients will continue seeing Drs. Cooper Terry, Daniel Boyd, Kurre Luber, Hunter Haley, Tyler Ellis, and Robert Ingraham at the same clinic locations and with the same appointment processes they’ve always known. The doctors’ partnership with Ole Miss Athletics remains intact—look for the MSMOC name on the sideline tents this football season but expect the same dedicated team ensuring the Rebels’ student athletes-stay healthy and strong.
“This affiliation doesn’t dilute our local focus—it strengthens it,” added Kurre Luber, MD, Oxford surgeon and an Ole Miss team physician. “We remain Oxford’s trusted orthopedic leaders, now with even greater resources to serve our community.”
