Today the Mississippi Department of Health<\/strong> (MSDH) is reporting 276 new cases of COVID-19<\/strong> in Mississippi <\/strong>and 11 new deaths, a sharp decrease from what was reported just days ago<\/a><\/strong>. Mississippi’s total of COVID-19 cases since March 11 now stands at 72,412, with 2,095 deaths.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Currently there are 914 Mississippians hospitalized with confirmed COVID-19 infection. There are currently 167 people hospitalized for suspected COVID-19.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are now 174 active outbreaks of COVID-19 in long-term care facilities (where an outbreak is one or more cases among residents or staff).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
