Robert Earl Reed<\/strong>, 48, of Sardis, Mississippi, passed away Saturday, October 5, 2013. Mr. Reed was of the Episcopalian faith.\u00a0\u00a0He was a devoted father who deeply he loved his children.\u00a0\u00a0He loved music and was a musician, singer and songwriter.<\/span><\/p>\n

A memorial service will be held on\u00a0Tuesday, October 8, 2013 at 3 pm at Fredonia Methodist Church<\/strong> near Como, Mississippi. The family will receive friends from\u00a01-3 p.m.\u00a0at the church. Mr. Reed is survived by his wife, Shelley Alred Reed<\/strong>; one daughter, Sadie Elizabeth Reed<\/strong>, and one son, William Campbell-Coats \u201cCoats\u201d Reed<\/strong>, all of Sardis, Mississippi;\u00a0\u00a0two brothers, Cole Campbell Bass<\/strong> of Memphis, Tennessee and Kaolin McClendon Bass<\/strong> of New York, New York; and his mother Paula Campbell Bass<\/strong> of Sardis. He was preceded in death by his father, the late H. John Reed<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be sent to Saint Jude Children\u2019s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude\u2019s Place, Memphis, Tennessee\u00a038105.\u00a0\u00a0Ray-Nowell Funeral Home in Senatobia has charge of arrangements.<\/span><\/p>\n
