(TOT) \u2014 The third annual Tallahatchie On Tap<\/b> is an outdoor beer tasting event with local food, live music, and folk art that will be held on the Tallahatchie Riverbank downtown in New Albany, Mississippi, on Saturday, September 21, 2013, from 5\u20138 pm. Live music will be performed by Cake Walkers<\/b> from Oxford.<\/p>\nPunch cards will be provided for ticket holders to sample 2 oz. servings of 23 different craft and imported beers. The breweries are Yazoo Brewing Company featuring Dos Perros, Hefeweizen, Gerst, Sue, and Hop Project; Straight To Ale featuring Monkeynaught IPA, Sand Island Kolsch, and Lilly Flagg Milk Stout; North Coast Brewing Company featuring PranQster Belgian Style Golden Ale, Brother Thelonius Belgian Style Abby Ale, and Old Rasputin Imperial Stout; Oxford Brewing Company featuring Sorority Blonde and MPA #8; Lucky Town Brew Company featuring Pub Ale, Ballistic Blonde, and Flare Incident; Rogue Chocolate Stout; Samuel Adams Octoberfest; Abita Andygator; Red\u2019s Apple Ale and three Lazy Magnolia Seasonals.<\/p>\n
Food will be provided by Tallahatchie Gourmet<\/b> and Sugaree\u2019s Bakery<\/b>. Folk artists represented by the Art of Dixie gallery will be set up to show and sell their work. All proceeds from ticket sales will be donated to the\u00a0Trailhead Plaza fund to support the creation of a small public trailhead space\u00a0and purchase bike racks for\u00a0downtown\u00a0New Albany.<\/p>\n
Tickets can be purchased in advance at Sugaree\u2019s Bakery for $20 or at the event for $25. The ticket price will cover a commemorative beer glass, the beer sampling, the food, and a free limo shuttle to all hotels and addresses within the city limits of New Albany.<\/p>\n
All\u00a0volunteers and ticket holders must be at least 21.<\/p>\n
Mary Jennifer Russell<\/b>, organizer of the event and owner of Sugaree\u2019s Bakery, says: \u201cTallahatchie on Tap is a great event for New Albany that is well-supported and anticipated all year. Unlike other beer festivals, the vibe at ours has a certain quaintness partly due to its location in our picturesque downtown under a grove of oak trees on the Tallahatchie Riverbank. That, and we put as much energy into the quality of the music, food, and art as we do the beer selection, which creates a very well-rounded event.
